The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) comes with a screen that measures 8 inches which are indicated by the number 8 in its title. It’s an LCD screen that has 800 x 1280 pixels. It’s rather low-res compared to most phones, with screens that are smaller than 8 inches. They also with similar resolutions.

In the end, it’s not ideal for all kinds of media. We found that games appeared pixelated, and movies and TV shows did not look great. If you’re using the Kindle ebook reader and Amazon Music functions, you won’t be as concerned – not everyone requires a premium screen and, if that’s your case, will be pleased with using the Fire HD 8 display.
